Thirty carefully selected artisans from all over China converged in Beijing last Saturday for the first-ever WildChina Beshan Gāi. The event was a huge success and we loved seeing all of you there. Enjoy some Beshan Gāi photos below and check out our Facebook page for the full collection.
Hours of hard work and planning with our superb team and event partners culminated last Saturday in a beautiful boutique bazaar in the lobby of The Opposite House. We are truly grateful to all of the fabulous artisans who brought their tradition and innovation from all areas of The Middle Kingdom. Their passion for their craft is an inspiration to us. Shoppers savored the sweetness of Yunnan honey, inhaled the roasted flavors of coffee, and admired the bold patterns of Kashgar carpets.
We want to give a special thank you to Pop-Up Beijing for setting the atmosphere and transforming the lobby of The Opposite House into a rustic market and to everyone who supported Teach for China by taking part in our Charity Raffle. All of the proceeds from the raffle will directly support Teach for China’s fellows as they strive to provide outstanding education to over 50,000 students in rural and low-income areas. Seven lucky ticket holders won amazing travel packages that totaled over 100,000RMB in value.
The inaugural Beshan Gāi was the official celebration of WildChina’s 15th Anniversary and WildChina founder Mei Zhang promises many more exciting things still to come. “This landmark year is not over yet, so watch this space.”
