Great photographs ‘are those that are not simply technically proficient, but which also tell a wider story beyond the subject’.- Michael Pritchard, Director-General of the Royal Photographic Society

This year, every WildChina Explorer Grant applicant submitted 5 of the their best photos to be considered for a separate award offered by the UK’s Royal Photographic Society. Whilst the RPS make their decision, here is a peek at a few of our personal favorites.

The RPS is a membership organization and charity that promotes photography and supports photographers in developing their skills. The winner of the WildChina Explorer Grant RPS award for best photo will receive a £250 cash prize plus a portfolio critique from an RPS panelist.

Voting is still open to put your favorite WildChina Explorer Grant applicant into the final 5 and give them the chance to win $5000 to pursue their exploration dreams.
