Jade Ma, Shanghai’s Modern Art Expert, has worked with numerous high-profile artists and filmmakers both in China and overseas. Intrigued by the vibrant art scene, Jade relocated from her hometown of Hangzhou to Shanghai where she works as an art curator and Operation Supervisor at a private art museum.
With a bachelor’s degree in Film Production from Peking University and a master’s degree in Arts Administration and Policy from Chicago’s School of the Art Institute in addition to her hands-on experience in the city, Jade’s knowledge of China’s modern art is both factual and experiential.
Connections abroad as a New York-based foundation’s E.D. also allow Jade to enrich her global perspective while continuing to work in the growing international art industry.
