A native Beijinger, Fred graduated from Beijing’s Institute of Tourism with degrees in English and Tourism. He has developed innovative trips around Beijing that go off the beaten path and expose clients to authentic life in the hutong (traditional alleyways). With clients ranging from 1987 Nobel Prize winner Stanley Cohen and firms like Goldman Sachs and McKinsey to middle school groups, Fred is a versatile guide who adapts extremely well to his clients.
A Beijing native, Gary says he loves the creative side of being a tour guide and is constantly evaluating new and interesting places to take his guests.
Huang was born into a Zhuang family in Southeastern Yunnan. However, after living in Lijiang for seven years, he now considers himself part Naxi. With almost a decade of experience, Huang has coordinated and led groups through numerous regions of China, ranging from the ancient town of Lijiang to the wild and untamed region of Tibet.
Born and raised in southern China, James is very knowledgeable of tourist hotspots, and more importantly, the less-known treasures and local people that make up the vibrant culture of Guangxi Province and China’s other southern regions.
Born and raised in the gorgeous environs of Dali, Jerry’s reliable and well-organized style makes him an ideal host for Beijing – he can whiz you through a city of 17 million people in a seamless and relaxed manner!
Growing up in Heilongjiang Province, Joe moved to Beijing in 1999 to attend college. He attended Beijing 2nd Foreign Affairs University, majoring in Tourism Management. Joe has lead foreigners from all over the world, and his English is great as a result. His easy going and affable personality make him a great Beijing guide.
A native of Shanxi, Michael moved to Beijing shortly after graduating from Xi’an Translation University in pursuit of exciting trip guiding opportunities. An open and capable guide, Michael is a welcome presence in any group looking to explore Beijing’s imperial temples and winding side paths.

Nyima has the privilege of working in one of the most beautiful, remote places on Earth. Born in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, Nyima has decade’s worth of experience leading groups in and around Tibet’s astonishing scenery.
Oliver is a Xishuangbanna native who loves introducing visitors to the culture and history of his corner of Yunnan Province. In addition to Mandarin and English, he also speaks the local Dai languag and is very knowledgeable about local ethnic culture and botany.
Born in neighboring Sichuan, Shelly Zhang now calls Lijiang home. Working first in a front desk role at a local hotel in Lijiang, Shelly became a full-time English tour guide in 2007.
A graduate of English from Guizhou Normal University, Shiau is a true champion! He has been awarded the title of “Best Tour Guide in Guizhou” on multiple occasions since 1999, and also been nominated as the “Best Tour Guide in China.”
Since entering the industry, Sonam has traveled extensively throughout Tibet, learning more about his home province than he could have hoped. He especially loves the personal interaction with clients, and the fulfilling feeling of knowing his group is completely satisfied with their experience.
Suzie began her career as a tour guide after obtaining a degree in Tourism Management from Sichuan Normal University. She loves the relaxed atmosphere and delicious food of Chengdu.
Born and raised in Guilin, Thomas has nearly three decades of experience leading trips through the famous tourist destinations in his region, as well as many lesser-known treasures. Thomas is a firm believer in the importance of travel as a means of experiencing a new culture.
