Conquer preserved sections of China’s greatest man-made structure as you hike the Great Wall at Huanghuacheng. Steeped in history and surrounded by yellow wild flowers, this section boasts some of the wall’s most photogenic views.
Beginning at the sea and stretching more than one thousand miles to the unforgiving desert frontiers of China’s west, The Great Wall is a lasting symbol of China’s imperial might. The section at Huanghuacheng is a photographer’s paradise, boasting stunning views of both man made and natural scenery, this part of the wall is also known as “the First Pass” for its strategic importance and as the natural protector of the nearby Ming Emperor Tombs. Spend the morning hiking the restored section of the wall before stopping for a picnic lunch and preparing yourself to tackle some more of the wall in the afternoon.
